Apologies if this subject has been covered before, but I am wondering how best to depict ADCs for an 1808 Spanish army.

There seems to be information on a myriad of military officials, but I have not yet seen a prescribed uniform for an ADC. This may suggest that there was not one.

I wonder if all such officers wore their regimental uniforms, absent a staff uniform. I wonder if anything demoted their status, e.g. a brassard.

I have seen a "staff officer" illustrated in a blue coat with unlaced red lapels, but I do not really know whether that is my answer.

According to Bueno's "Uniformes Espanoles El Ejercito y la Armada en 1808" there are no descriptions in the Estados Militares. Bueno's illustration is derived from a Suhr drawing of Romana's Division in Hamburg.

The Ayudante de campo is the left hand figure (taken from Bueno's "La Expedicion Espanola a Dinamarca 1807-1808":

Very helpful.

Now all I need to do is find a suitable figure to convert…!

Thank you both.
