Somebody has mentioned to me a French film called 'Fantassins' which apparently has some good battle scenes in it. The only image I have found seems to show Swedes and Russians battling around the time of Poltava. Does anyone know this film? Is it worth a watch? Does it have English sub-titles as my French is slow? |

Maybe this one: YouTube link Release Date: 20 February 2007 (Russia) English title: The Sovereign's Servant Russian title: Sluga Gosudarev For my taste, the effect of cannon fire is too modern (overpowerful explosions everywhere), as usual. But judge yourself. |

The battle scenes are good besides the effect of the cannon fire. If you have any interest GNW, the movie is worth watching. |
