I was hoping they had cancelled this abomination… This is one die-hard FF fan who will definitely NOT be seeing this. |

Cool. First I had heard of it. |

Wow. Looks about as awful as I expected. |

The Thing doesn't have any trousers. |

I was hoping they had cancelled this abomination… No chance. The previous two-film series made enough money for Twentieth Century Fox to hold on to the FF rights rather than letting it revert back to Marvel/Disney. If they don't reboot it every 10 years they will lose it. |

Well now, that looks awful. I figure a new one was needed since Johnny went and got promoted to Captain, but this really isn't it. |

I agree it looks pretty terrible. I'll wait for it to hit cable or the bargain bin at Wal Mart |

Horrible and they just had to go and change cannon as well. |

Strangely, I also picked up on the Thing not wearing pants. I think this will be a mess of a movie. |

I was not able to tell what the movie was about from the trailer. I have been a FF fan since it's early days. I don't think of this as a true FF film, but perhaps an alternate universe version sort of like the Star Trek relaunch. The trailer really tells me nothing about the film's plot so how can I say if it is good or bad? |

Hmmm . . . Well, at least Kate Mara makes a cute Sue Storm. |

"I would say that the science fiction of it is a big thing that sets it apart from most of the other superhero genre films. I'm a huge David Cronenberg fan, and I always viewed Fantastic Four and the kind of weirdness that happens to these characters and how they're transformed to really fall in line more with a Cronenberg-ian science fiction tale of something horrible happening to your body and [it] transforming out of control. And the potential for a hard sci-fi take on that material makes me really excited. I don't really see that kind of potential and that kind of take being implemented on any of the other superhero movies that seem to be coming out in the next few years." -director Josh Trank |

Huge super hero movie fan here, but this one looks like a stinker… |
