At last got round to adding in one the superb Dark Fable Miniatures characters into ancient Nubian bow unit.
Although much taller I think the Dark Fable Nubian fan bearer blends in well and looks great IMHO.
Plan on adding more of these Dark Fable figures to my historical armies.
These guys add great colour to any ancient Egyptian army.

Nice touch Colin. I like their Harem Guards – maybe another interesting (Egyptian) unit for the later Achaemenid Persians – with some Guard troops mixed in?

Unit basing is very well done – have some Warlord Skythian archers that might be done the same way.

Wow, fantastic looking Nubians Colin! I'm a big fan of the Perry's Foundry Nubians, although they are a bit smaller when compared with todays 28mm figures. But I like how you fit in the Nubian fanbearer with them. I really want to expand our Nubian faction – at present we only have the Nubian guards with spears and the Nubian guards with a hyena, as well as a number of other characters which might be suitable. The Nubian warriors we are planning to have sculpted will be much heavier armed and armoured than your standard tribal Nubian warriors. They are meant to reflect Nubian mercenaries serving as guards in Egypt or better equipped Nubians which might form a royal guard. I've commissioned Tim Prow to sculpt this three figure set of Nubian characters which includes an officer or chief in scale armour, a king (from the 25th dynasty) and an advisor or priest. The warrior sets planned are Nubian archers, warriors with melee weapons (axes, maces, khopesh) and those with two-handed weapons. I'll post images of the greens later but here is a concept drawing of the Nubian character set.
