Played a 2 V 2 game of BGK recently.

Good cinematic fun as all games of BGK are. I love how murderous the MG34 and MG42 are in this game.

First time using a timed Katyusha strike – very nice! Timed artillery is the way to go.

Write Up, Pics and Editing are by my brother

Scale is 15mm.

I wish Battlegroup Kursk was actually still available, it looks entertaining. I don't want to buy a little book plus a big book – I just want Kursk!

Great looking table and nicely presented AAR!

Just curious though, if the T.34 couldn't knock out the Tiger, surely it would have stood a better chance of pinning it using area fire?

BG Kursk will be available as a PDF fairly soon, I think.

It could have – Soviets only managed one pinning shot against the Tiger. From memory you need a 5 or 6 to do it.

Soviet goals was more to take out the easy pickings like the armoured cars and half tracks to pile BR counters on the Germans as well as suppress German infantry (which didn't really work hence lots of dead and wounded Russian infantry).

Definitely won't buy a pdf but thanks. Maybe they'll reprint it.

Better buy it sharpish…

Unlikely to see it reprinted in its current form.

Regarding the T34 and Tiger circling around each other, didn't matter if they were aiming or supressing – rolling "1"s counts for nought in either case!

Can't remember if it was mentioned, but the only time the Tiger was supressed in this game was in the late stage of the game when the Soviet drew a CONFUSION marker. The Germans ultimately needed to get the Senior Office to unpin the Tiger but the BR marker was costly!

The Ace Tiger is Elite and quite hard to pin without massed firepower.
