I've been working on my Battle of Kings Mountain project. I decided to base three or four figures on a thin metal base and terrain it as if each base was a mini scene. This way I can interchange them without regard to scenery.

Most of the figures are Kings Mountain Over Mountain Men with a few Dixon Frontiersmen thrown in. for good measure

The ground work is my own concoction, made from Liquetex Resin Sand modelling paste with all kinds of bits thrown into the mix.

You can see that two of the stands have been drybrushed to tone down the black. A couple of stands are still wet.

I've been mixing up my own forest floor and that will be the next step. So far, I am happy with the progress and the results.

I wish that I was a better photographer. I'll keep trying.
We are expecting 3 feet of snow here on Long Island, so I may just have time to make some good progress here.
I'll keep you posted.
And don't you wish that you had these for you KM game, Winston??

Bill, I see url's to photobucket but no actual picture. Do I need to copy and paste it or type it in or what?

PzGeneral26 Jan 2015 3:43 p.m. PST

I think Photobucket might be having issues…I just tried to open mine and it said 'Nope'

nevinsrip26 Jan 2015 3:44 p.m. PST

I can see the pix. Do I need to redo them?
I think photobucket may be down. I can't get on the site.
