As most in the US know, the Long Island area of New York is facing a major snow event, complete with blizzard warnings. We want to let everyone know that shipping from the East warehouse will be suspended Tuesday and Wednesday. Limited shipping will resume on Thursday, conditions permitting. This will apply to our eBay and Amazon stores as well. Phones will be answered as we can. The retail location in Riverhead will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday as well. We expect to reopen on Thursday, weather permitting. This will not affect orders coming from our West coast location. |

Be safe. As a side note, I would imagine that this would affect OMM also. Doug |

OMM has a sled and sled dogs. Packages go out 24/7 snow or sleet. The only delay is during the Westminster dog show weekend. |

Stay warm. Perhaps you might want to make like the kid in Bad Santa, and make a bunch of sandwiches, just in case. |

I just wanted to bring everyone up to date. Fortunately, the storm took a last minute 50 mile swing east. That means we had 25 inches of snow and 4 – 5 foot drifts rather than the initial predictions. It also didn't last as long as originally forecast. We are dug out. We expect to resume limited shipping tomorrow. Phones will be answered, but the hours will be shorter. The Riverhead store will try to open, but please check with them first before venturing out. |

Good to hear. I had a number of good laughs watching the CNN reporters in NY last night, trying to convince me that their little flurries were really increasing, and the "blizzard" was still to come. That was pretty priceless, since you could walk between the occasional snowflakes dropping at the time. |

We are back up at full speed with all the staff in. The Riverhead store is also open at full steam ahead. Thanks for the all the well wishes. More snow (less than 2 inches) is forecast for tonight and tomorrow. |
