There has been a bit of a lapse since the last event in our long-running series of ATF games (ATF=Alcohol, Tobacco and [simulated] Firearms) while my new workshop undergoes transformation into a gaming space. Fortunately, Elliott James stepped up to host a fascinating scenario and the Gentlemen Wargamers gathered again for another little celebration of military history, accompanied by good humor, fine single malt and craft brews, and some excellent cigars. Ahhh, civilization! So it was that we returned to the Peninsula, in a game involving a couple Corps tangled in a fighting retreat:
More pictures, with descriptive captions, are here (mouse over the "See more" near the top of the page for an abbreviated Order of Battle): link Thanks for looking, and I hope you enjoy them. Jeff |

Thank you Jeff as always for being our chronicler. To answer the usual technical questions: Table 6'x 5'(1.8m x 1.5m) Rules – Napoleonic Command II (available from War Artisan) Figures -10mm from a mixture of maufacturers: Artillery and equipment is all from of Old Glory Cavalry – Old Glory, Magister Militum and Bend Sinister. Infantry – OG, MM, GHQ, Bend Sinister and Pendraken Terrain Baush trees, Buildings – Paper Terrain, Bend Sinister and Musket Miniatures. If you want to build a terrain cloth, here's the reminder how this one was made: link As the scenario designer I felt it worked really well. The game was in the balance, swinging from one side to the other until the last turn. |
