We played our second game of TtMatB yesterday, it was very enjoyable, but I feel we are missing a few elements of the game. So I have a few questions if anyone knows the answers or has some idea, I'd love to hear from you.

1) The card deck: Now we have a card for each Big Man, the heavy weapons, the Initiative Cards, blinds for both sides and time for a snifter. When the game begins we have a set of cards that has only the Blinds for both sides and time for a snifter, so three cards in total. The as blinds are revealed (and the associated big men) we add cards to the deck. Is this the correct procedure? Or are all the cards to be used in the game placed in the deck at the start?

2) Blinds. Do the Blinds for each Group also incorporate the associated Big Man? Or do the Big Men start the game on the board in order to influence the blinds? The latter would make sense if all the cards were in the deck at the beginning of the game.

3) Big Men. Can a Big Man with a high command level influence a group to do more tasks than their action dice allow, or are groups restricted to the two action dice for their turn? I don't think we were using our Big men to their maximum as the attack seemed to stumble in the centre of the board, plus we had a British defending machine gun which jammed, but despite the immediate presence of two Big Men (one level II and one Level IV) it remained jammed for the rest of the game.

4) Heavy Weapons. We had the previously mentioned Machine Gun and a Flame Thrower in the game, both had their own cards, but both also had an associated Big Man, do the take their turn on their own card, or the associated Big Man's card, or both?

I'm sure I have a few more questions which will come back to me, but if anyone can answer these, it may clear stuff up initially!

The TFL Yahoo group is the best place to find what you are looking for.

Thanks Cold Steel, I forgot I was already a member of the Yahoo group, I'll direct my questions there instead!

1. You have it correct
2. Blinds incorporate their relevant Big Man
3. Groups only have the action dice allowed they are not increased by Big Men. Bad luck on clearing the jam, such is war.
4. Heavy weapons (support) activate on their own card, no associated BM is required, however they can be activated by Senior NCO or Officer on their card.

But do join the Yahoo group, Richard answers any queries fairly quickly, if no one else can. Worth doing because my answers may be wrong.
