What a great find. Home Depot has 2" X 2" ceramic tiles in sheets of six by five. It was pretty easy to find sheets with one tile broken so I got each sheet at half price of $1.57 USD. So 116 bases for $6.28 USD. What a deal! I'm using them for basing 1/72 plastic ECW figures. I wanted something fairly heavy to make up for the light weight figures, The fact that one side has a smooth ceramic finish means they glide across the table and players are less likely to handle the figures when moving bases. |

I know others have done the same thing. You can mount your figs on bricks and you will still find gamers who want to pick the stand up by grabbing hold of the figures. |

I don't think I have ever seen a gamer pick up a figure by the base. |

Seems like a good solution for group basing. Crispy, I don't see many folks picking up multibased figs by one fig. ;-) |
