This year Wayne Warner and some friends in Maine and New Hampshire have been play testing a new scenario depicting a WW1 trench raid, which will be played at Huzzah! The scratch-built trench board, as well as the figures, are all being painted in black and white/grayscale. Figure scale is 28mm, rules will be Chain of Command from TFL. Excellent work and I like the idea of the B&W style. I do, however, have a bit of an issue with the 'further reading' section… I would recommend Blood Victory by William Philpott or The Somme by Gary Sheffield, rather than the 'lions and donkeys' authors you have on there… |

Awesome looking board and figures! Does anyone have a painting guide on how to paint miniatures in black and white? |

Just to follow up, one the people painting figures for this game said that he had read an article in an old magazine that discussed how the B&W painting might be done, which inspired him to try it. He is going to make some time this week to write up how he approached it, which I'll post in this thread. |
