Been lurking here for awhile now, and decided to create an account to share my first of many units for use with Gruntz. Pardon the shoddy pictures. I hope to invest in a proper camera with better macro ability.
Brigade Models' Buffel Apc with a converted 08 NVL Gunner and an eight man squad of 08 NVL with two SAWS (or smartguns, or phased plasma something or other)
C&C always welcome. Enjoy! (hope the pics post correctly, first time using this site and following the FAQ)

Who makes the figures?

They are Oddzial Ozmy NVL:

Picked up most of them from Picoarmor. Great sculpts and a lot of choices available.

The Buffel looks great!

Look great

Added another unit to my growing army. Retconned Yasha VTOL from the Mechwarrior click game. Managed to find two of them loose for fifty cents at my nearby shop. Figured it can be a remote drone or an AI driven AAV of some sort.

I love that mech warrior clix you appropriated….if I could suggest if used as a drone…to get rid of the blue window and unify that area with the same color as the rest of that beauty

Araekyus29 Jan 2015 7:24 p.m. PST

You know, I was considering leaving the window the same color as the rest. Only reason I did it was to break up the scheme some and create a focal point. And if I was going for an AI AAV, maybe it needed a rather large lens for targeting?

Outstanding work there. I like the idea of a lens I dread of just tying the glass into the rest of the body, although I can agree with Twoballs' reasoning,it is sci-fi, so it can go either way.

Rail cannon team completed. Same steps as before, although I think I forgot to use a darker green for the pouches, and went straight to the highlight color. Oops. Guess we can imagine them sun bleached, worn or maybe just out of the package.

Finished off the Brigade Models' Wildebeest apc last night. Same scheme and same steps used. The turret got the addition of comms by using cut sewing pins and tiny piece of brass tubing. Added a gunner and some stowage. This one came out a little more weathered and dirty that the Buffel apc. My only bugbear is that the custom cut craft plywood base is warped. I was unable to straighten it, sadly. Next base order, find folks who cut mdf or choose acrylic next Litko order. Other than that, very happy with the model. Next on the list, the 'Rhino' MBT and another 8 man fire team.

Thanks everyone for the kudos. I'm having an absolute blast painting in this scale, as well as the complete freedom of imagination in creating an army. Enjoy!
