Hull is sanded and a fancy (and very French-looking) ram bow has been fitted. Take a look here link Comments and Input please. Lion in the Stars, I took your idea to heart and tried a lower deck of 1" white foam, the barbettes stick out too far for the thinner section of lower hull, I will keep your idea in mind for the next one. Thanks |

That ram bow makes a huge improvement, Anton. If you add a bit of tumblehome to the upper foam, I think it will work out. Not as much as you have on the lower section, though. And one of these days I'm going to have to try building 15mm versions of your ships… If I can find deck crews for them. |

Does the ram have a double curve? Might just be an artifact of light/position. Good luck on the sloping; 'little here' 'whoops, now I need to take a little off the other side' 'whoops….' Can be maddening. Go gently! Looks smashing so far! By the by, what's the image at the top? Doug |

TheBeast, the front has a set of compound curves that will be a real joy to cover. Photos later (hopefully). The image at the top (I assume you mean on the blog header) is Fort Mantanzas, part of the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument. It is located about twenty miles south of Saint Augustine Florida nps.gov/casa/index.htm If you are ever down on Florida's north-east coast the fort is worth a visit. I plan on building a model of the Fort in 28mm, maybe even the Castillo. Loin, Thanks I hope that I don't lose my temper trying to cover the ram, it is a tricky shape.1/100 crew could be adapted from a number of sources, I haven't looked at Shapeways but you could probably find figures there that could be printed to the scale you seek, if not, you might find somebody willing to model them and then print them for you. |

I got the cladding on the hull, the ram bow and rounded stern were a bit of work. link |

Okay, the upright for the ram looked like two curves in the first piccie, ergo my confusion. Sorted, baited breath waiting on further updates! Doug |
