Hi all, I've just completed the final battalion for the British forces that fought at Casa de Salinas in 1809.
The 1/45th were a veteran Peninsular battalion by the time they arrived at Talavera and would go on to serve through the Peninsular War to its end in 1814. They got their nickname, "The Old Stubborns" at the battle and when you look at their performance you can see why. If you would like to know more then just follow the link to JJ's. link Jonathan |

Lovely painting .However the unit is a tad too small for me as I tend to like larger battalions . It isn't a criticism though and of course I appreciate that it complies with whatever ruleset you are using. Nice stuff :) |

Looks great, yet again. I wish I could keep up. Seems you do two new units for every one I get done. I'd love to see all your collection en-masse. I'm sure it would be hugely impressive. |

Cheers Guys, thanks for your comments. EB I will do a group picture of the Casa de Salinas British force and the whole project is building towards Talavera, with about 50 battalions a side, so please bear with me as I will document and put pictures up of the whole thing in time. Cheers Jonathan |

I used to re-enact these too. 1997-2000. I've painted this unit more times than I remember. Top paint job! |
