Can anyone help please? I am building an Italian force for SCW and I am trying to etablish whether the Solothurn anti-tank rifle and the Elefantino anti-tank gun were used by the CTV. Thanks in advance. |

Ha…WiFi gremlins…… The Bohler was introduced in 1935, I have seen references to a 47 mm anti tank battery in several oob's……..-the CTV was a 'showpiece' formation to display the Duce's mighty modern army to the world………the Nationalist forces also received 30 pieces from the Italians ( in a total supply of some 1300 artillery pieces). |

No anti-tank rifles were ever used in the SCW. They would have been useful against the very light armour of the tanks used in the war but no one arrived in Spain except maybe one or two just before the war for testing purposes. Unlikely they´ve seen any combat usage. |
