For me it is a tie between WW2 US paras and British WW2. Maybe because I paint so much of it. I am sure other guys have an opinion on this. You may love the period but the uniforms are boring to paint. What do you think?

For me the first thing that popped into my mind was WWII Japanese infantry. Actually, just about any WWII infantry would fit the bill. |

Haven't done any in a while but French SYW bored me. All that white/gray. |

I went stir crazy doing a load of early WW1 Germans, all those brown jackboots, and brown webbing and brown packs… |

Egyptian troops in the Sudan. Lots of white. |

I once painted many hundreds of Napoleonic Austrian line infantry. I'm never doing that again. |

WW2 is pretty boring to paint but what I really hate is troops in white. |

I find the French Napoleonics boring but I do like to paint Austrians – they look great massed. |

Wow, looking back done them all, just finished 25 odd US army (early Iraq) and some 20 Talib/Daesh types, except for a couple pairs of bright sneakers on the Talibs are drab colours throughout. Yip endless white can be a real chore :) (Austrians and Arab types aplenty) Cheers, crank up the grammy-phone and paint to da Muzak :) |

I don't mind WW2 because as quick as you start them their finished. Last year I painted Napoleonic Highlanders, 30 of them. It just seemed to drag on forever and was a real relief when I'd finished them. |

Which is why I use sparys for the base level in 15mm |

Depends what you mean by boring – I get pretty fed up painting anything with too much detail. Lace, piping , anything fiddly – looks nice but takes such and age to paint (so I guess I'm agreeing with Jeff above) |

Union ACW & WWII any of them |

I can't really think of uniforms I don't like but figures that are carrying a lot of equipment get pretty tedious whether it's WW2 guys with a lot of gear and you won't to vary that up some, or something like parthian horse archers with bow cases, arrow cases, all needing to be somewhat different. |

Pretty much everything post 1890…..all you need is a spray can of tan/khaki/gray/green….blah. |

I agree with Zulupaul about ACW Union. I rather like painting WWII for some reason. |
Stryderg | 22 Jan 2015 11:35 a.m. PST |
I tried to paint ninjas once. Couldn't find them. To answer the question – I've got a bunch of WWII Japanese in a lovely shade of primer. Brown on brown with brown highlights just doesn't make me want to pick up a brush and get them done. |

Pathans. Again, lots of light grey/white. And you need a bunch more of them than you do British. I finally cleaned and primed all of them I had left, and painted nothing else until they were all done. That was in the days of Ral Partha small 25mms. Now I need to paint a bunch in 28mm to go with my newer colonials. Grelber |

Austrian Line is somewhat tedious. As is painting upwards of 100 Zulus. |
forrester | 23 Jan 2015 5:58 a.m. PST |
Just about ANYTHING, if you are trying to do hundreds of essentially the same thing. Fortunately I don't usually do those sort of projects now. My vote would be the painting of the "bumps" on Daleks. A nightmare. |
