Not really a problem with ebay, or the seller. But USPS is showing my item delivered yesterday, and I have not yet recieved it. A check with my adjacent neighbours has turned up empty. The seller has been responsive, but the delivery is unresolved. Any suggestions? |

Many times my (substitute) postal carrier leaves a notice that they were unable to deliver my package but without ringing my doorbell or knocking on my door. I work at home and can hear when my mailbox is accessed. So they plain lie. I have to go to the P.O. and get the package myself. Wait another day. If nothing, go to your post office and inquire. |

My postal carrier is outstanding, but when she goes on vacation anything goes and once had a confirmed delivery to the same address as mine but on the wrong street. When the regular carrier returned from leave she tracked it down and delivered the package. |

All the tracking (probably) means is that the guy delivered the package somewhere. Today FedEx delivered two packages to my dad's house; the were supposed to go to another street in an adjacent city that had the same numerics. You can guarantee that those boxes were marked as "delivered" in their system. See if your local post master cares about doing their job (our local one does not). |

Have you looked around your entryway? At my house, packages are left between the two doors or under the doormat. I've also heard of packages being left in the bushes by the door. Bad weather, either at the point of shipment of between them and you? Sometimes computer systems don't get updated the way we might wish. Grelber |

I lived in a neighborhood in Atlanta Georgia USA which was… fun ,but not always the safest place either. I had a $150 USD package that was either never delivered stollen from my front steps where it was left by the postal carrier. The post office swore they delivered it and when I disputed the charges eBay sided with the seller… After that I requested at the post office that all packages sent to my address be held at the PO for pickup… Somehow that request was never granted. On the other hand most places I have lived had excellent service from the USPS. |

Of course there are stories floating around about people following FedEx and UPS trucks and snatching up the packages. Could be an urban legend…… |

Lost once a package. USPS said delivery on their system. I knew better since the time stamped security cameras and recording system never saw the anyone at the doorway, the driveway or even on the street that day, especially at the time of "delivery". When USPS shown the actual video… they still said "Delivery done". Ebay shown the same video… they sided with the Seller. As mentioned above, my normal mail lady works extra hard and never a problem. That week she was off on vacation, I was out $120 USD in value. She researched but never found the package. The local USPS office staff clearly know that we can prove delivery. Wondered if a small claim court suit against the USPS would make any difference. They will bump the case to Superior court since federal laws apply I am sure = lawyer required. Just not worth it. Side note. My street and friendly neighbors have eight full recording security systems covering the entire street and interior/exterior of their houses wired. We can exchange clips of any person walking or driving down the street. Faces, clothing, vehicles, license plates etc. Anything happens and there is a record of whom was in the area at that moment. One is looking into technology if a "covered face" with unknown "body biometrics" is recorded the cops can be immediately notified day or night…. the modern world. The street is fully sign posted that you are being watched. |

"After that I requested at the post office that all packages sent to my address be held at the PO for pickup… Somehow that request was never granted." They will tell you to get a PO Box. |

Submit a lost parcel claim in the online postal system. It appears that then the local postmaster has to investigate the issue as it is tied to performance ratings for the location. Typically they will be able to find it or at least what happened to it. |

Having had some delivery issues in the past, in the days when I was ordering substantial quantities of toys from OS I would have them sent to a local post office at a village first settled in the 19th century, which is a ten minute drive away, but still has that small country town charm. The friendly staff were happy to accept and hold packages. When, thinking I could save some petrol, I had a parcel sent to the local suburban shopping centre post office, which is within walking distance, I was told that they don't do that, and they only grudgingly accepted it. Needless to say I reverted to using the original post office thereafter. |
