I stopped into Hobby Lobby and found that some of the Vallejo Model Color paints were on sale. They only carry part of the line about 90 to 100 colors. About a third was marked down from $2.99 USD to $1.79 USD. So instead of just one at 40% off I bought 8.

Not sure about other locations.

Thanks for the tip! My wife and I live about a mile away from our local Hobby Lobby, so there's no reason not to stop by and see.

I had no idea Hobby Lobby carried Vallejo! How the hell could I have missed that?

Hobby Lobby does sales all the time so that doesn't necessarily mean a close-out. Their craft paints get deeply discounted at least once a month or so and HL is my go-to store for Ceramcoat paints. The HL stores in my area have a special section for clearance items, hopefully the paints don't get moved there evil grin

I went to my local HL, here is Birmingham (Alabama) yesterday and they are on sale! Not all of them, mind you but I picked up one of almost everything on sale. About 12 or so bottles. As I'm getting back into painting minis after being out for a while, this post was VERY helpful!!! Thank you for taking the time to inform us all.

I also found out on here that I can remove the top to put something inside the bottle to help mix the paint. The small shot I use to weight my model railroad stuff was too big to fit in the bottles. I purchased some really small glass beads and was going to put them in there, but now I don't have to. I can just use cheap glass marbles from the dollar store! LOVE this site! LOTS of good stuff on here.

In the not too distant future I will be seeking help acquiring 15mm ACW figs and not I know where to come! There are not a lot of historical gamers down here.

Thanks again Micman!

Checked one of my local stores today and 50% of the colors were on sale at $1.79 USD.

Thanks, Micman! Everytime my wife and I go there, I print off my little 40% off one item coupon and get one bottle of paint. Picked up 16 of them yesterday, thanks to you!

Update as of Sat. Jan. 30th, here in Michigan the items are on a clearance sale at the $1.79 USD price. The tags for these items/colors are marked with a "D", for discontinued. So you have not missed the weekly ad, the price is still on but you gotta get'em while they got'em!

Hobby Lobby is so far away from me that the cost of gas exceeds the savings on paint. Thanks, though.

Sale is still going on. I grabbed lots of great colors today.
