Very nice painting and presentation!

If I may priggishly offer some Photoshop advice? Hit the trees with the Burn tool and then give them a little Gaussian blur. This will remove the apparent grayish border on them when superimposed on your background image.

Yeah

It needs tweaking…I actually use gimp or paint.net so I need to check out how to do it.

The magic selector is only so good at picking up the colours

Good job on the second round! The blur makes the trees look like they are at the edge of the focal plane.
