"During my recent trip to Machine Gun America I was able to fire a number of fully automatic assault rifles and one submachine gun. To say the least, it was incredible. Now it's time to rank them all. Of course, this isn't easy to do. Ranking machine guns is a lot like ranking your children; you love them all so much. They each have their own special qualities and quirks. They each fill your heart with a slightly different kind of joy. How can you ever pick between them? Amusing… If I could have just one of the MGs I'd go with the MG3. MG-42 in 7.62 Nato. Proven design. If I could have two, think I'd get the PKM as well – 7.62x54r is a lot cheaper than anything else in that lot. Considering that the first video showcased an SMG, the M4, and AK-47 I'd probably go with the AK. Reliability in close quarters. If I had a second MAK-90 I would seriously think of one of those slide fire stocks – just for amusement. |
