Why Tango finds all those political posts on the Ultramodern board more interesting than sexy and pulchritudinous females is a mystery to me, and I only point out that he has been neglecting his duties here. |
javelin98 | 20 Jan 2015 1:18 p.m. PST |
Dear Sir: You hereby win 1 billion Awesomeness Points for using the word "pulchritudinous" in a sentence. Congratulations! |
Editor in Chief Bill | 20 Jan 2015 1:18 p.m. PST |
I didn't know you cared! |
Mako11 | 20 Jan 2015 2:07 p.m. PST |
Perhaps, since you've identified the need, you can step in to assist him. That would go a long way to proving your concern, and sincerity on the subject. |

Dear Bill Are you kidding? This is the best board on TMP and the one that keeps me alive in the morning after a two hour drive to work at 4:30 am! Belle, Lucille the Cop, Evil Sophia, half a dozen other pics here make life worth living. Otto |

Dear Mako I don't have the time to surf the net. Otto |

I, for one, do not miss badly painted bug eyed grotesquely sculpted miniatures. But then again maybe that's just me. |

They have eyes?!? Don't post things like that while I'm drinking coffee, I nearly spit it out all over keyboard! Funniest thing I read all day, thanks for the response. |

Yip my heart beats for Lola, all 26 mm of her 'that is from foot to 'eyes' level of her ;) Cheers all keeping up the spirit of TMP OS. Good man. |

I must disagree about the frivolous awarding of awesomeness points for the mere use of pulchitrudinous. I think 500 million is sufficient. Had he used in in an alliterative manner then yes, a billion would be appropriate but such a wonderful word deserved a full turn of phrase. |

Sure! HE gets a reward! Can he say it ten times in a row??!!?? What about chronosynclasticindifibulum???!!?? So There… |

Dear Skippy Yes I can, and I also know all the words to Supercalafragalisticexpialadocious. I also have dreams of a really bosomy Julie Andrews in a tight, short, low-cut nurses uniform bending over my bed with a spoon singing. Just-- a--- spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down, the medicine go down just a spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down-- in a most delightful way! |

When I go retro, I go Sandy Duncan. |
OSchmidt | 21 Jan 2015 7:57 a.m. PST |
dear Mallen A bit too perky. Donna Douglas, Mariette Hartley, Merideth Baxter Birney, Anne Francis, and of course Barbara Eden. that's real retro. |
Mallen | 21 Jan 2015 9:20 a.m. PST |
You're right. Barbara Eden is the Gold Standard. And Olivia de Havilland back in the Robin Hood days. |

Tango may come up with figures that are pulchritudinous, but let us not forget that more than a few are callipygian. Keep up the good work, my friend. |
OSchmidt | 21 Jan 2015 12:47 p.m. PST |
Dear Skippy0001 All well and good but chronosynclsticindifibulumistic has no pulchritude (or boobs) on it! So who cares? Remember the word has to be connected to the subject. On the other hand if one could be dis-chronosyclasticindifibulumated with several of the persona of bathycolpian endowments seen herebouts one might rather want to be so. This is the constant and tragic fault of all etymologists, especially those who are involved with those descriptors of the terms in the vocabulary of those of us of an uxurious disposition. Macromammaliansism and callipygian delights are not the limits of this bit of Uxorological manifestation. Soft curves and resonating lines are also of a piece of a grander metaphor, a paradigmatism of transcendent attributes and embodiments signifying the Luxurial penultimate of perfection. That is, the archetype is the prototype. (Bathycolpian means "deep bosomed" and Uxuria is a doting fondness and slavish devotion to ones wife or paramour. Luxuria means the overt feminine charms of women. |

Dear Malien. Yes but if we're going to go that far back one must add in Greer Garson (come on admit it, isn't Mrs. Minnever really hot) Bacall, Fontaine, and a host of others, not to mention Carmen Miranda, and of course, let's not forget Claudette Colbert. How in the world they got those costumes she was barely in past the censors in "Cleopatra" is beyond a mystery. As for more modern, I don't care when she was young, pregnant, fat, and now thin again, Valerie Bertinelli is in the first tier, I think she's one of those immortals who never grow old. |
Mallen | 21 Jan 2015 1:31 p.m. PST |
DearOS My prom date was named Valerie Bertinelli, but I think it was the name alone that did it for me. I ended up missing the prom entirely because she was in jail---no really. Grand theft auto. Remember Adrian Barbeau of "Maude" fame? I have whole rooms of mental images in my mind. AND---about 10+ years ago, the most famous fan of the Neapolitan Soccer team, Sophia Loren, promised to perform a striptease if they advanced to the next senior league. I was like Faye Dunaway at the end of "Chinatown" whipsawing back and forth: "She's in her 70s,….She's Sophia Loren,….She's in her 70s,….She's Sophia Loren." The final result of this internal debate remains a closely guarded secret. |
OSchmidt | 21 Jan 2015 2:00 p.m. PST |
Dear Mallen I belive you. Chance rules the world. As for Adrienne Barbeau, I cannot forget her. Each time I go down to work in my game room, either at the painting table or the computer. There, hanging on my wall, is the poster of Adreienne wearing the fuscia corset and a come-hither smoldering sexy look. Bough the poster for $3 USD bucks in the 70's had it framed in the 90's for$300. As for Sophia Looren, have you seen Raquel Welch in her 70's lately? Goodness Gracious! |
Winston Smith | 21 Jan 2015 3:06 p.m. PST |
