There are a lot of great sites and blogs on the web for the war gamer interested in the 18th century and the Seven Years War. There are some wonderful scholars who've devoted their careers to studies of the era. There are some great artists who've contributed outstanding works depicting the uniforms and the action.

So why did I start a blog? To remember the proper frontages, ranges, charge distances, and formation footprints without having to constantly search library books (and old TMP threads) and trying to synthesize such a large pile of information in my head. I needed a place to take notes. I had to write it down for myself to attempt to retain it.

Like any war gamer, I've recorded some of the journey for the next recruit who may seek the same information.

Cheers.
