My friend David Raybin returned from Paris with the usual batch of travel photos. I asked him to cull through the ones of military interest. Here is the link to all of the military photos of interest. link And here are few of the best. Many were taken in Napoleon's home. Château de Malmaison A few are of course of the later Napoleon and a nice WW I Tank. I understand it is just a fantastic city, undeterred by the recent horrific events. Vive la France !

Just riding the Metro and seeing the names of the stops: Iena, Crimee, Sebastopol, Stalingrad, Solferino, Gare d'Austerlitz. And various generals: Luxembourg, Saint Sulpice, La Tour Maubourg and Kleber. Some stops are named after civilians… It's worth the detour. |

Try Pere Lachaise cemetery then! Every tombstone is a household name to us folk, around Ney's resting place. |
