Did the Dragons riflemen carried by trucks (as contrasted with motorcyclists) wear the long greatcoat (probably pinned back as I've seen on one website) or a shorter tunic? This forum response has me leaning towards the long greatcoat being worn by the truck-carried riflemen but it looks like one of the illustrated reenactment groups wears a tunic instead. link Addendum: And I just found this while doing some more Bing image searching: link |

Issued a greatcoat like other units. From what I understand, it was Adrian helmets and greatcoats, just left backpacks and other gear in their ride and fought in lighter kit. This could include leaving the great coat off as well (tunic was worn under). Hopefully Leland (Blackwidowpilot) will be around to set you straight though. |

They wore the mounted troops capote. Which, annoyingly, is single-breasted and usually not pinned back. |
