Watched "The Man in the High Castle" yesterday. Loved it.

The pilot is free on Amazon. You don't have to be a prime member to watch it.

Make sure you tell Amazon how much you like it so they'll pick up the series . . .

Thanks for the link – just watched it and found it very good. It doesn't follow the book aside from a character or two, but sets up an interesting alternate world. I'd say I enjoyed it, but it was a bit too dark for that.

Thanks for the heads up! Great show so far. Inspired some gaming ideas even.

Thoroughly enjoyed it. Hopefully it will make it as a series. I am looking forward to seeing it. Never thought at my age I would find myself watching TV on my computer.

Yes please check it out and vote for it. Lord knows we don't need another TV series about 3 teenage girls that cast spells.

Really, really good.

Very interesting. Dark (as it should be) and intriguing. How they're handle the deeper elements of Dick's novel is an open (and very difficult) question. I'd watch it.

@Aapsych20 – thank you ! Had a quick glance and it looks superb. Going to find a quiet hour and watch in detail.

Thing is this is make believe since there would be no way the US loses.

The premise seems to be that Germany got the A-bomb first, and used it forcing the USA to surrender.

That's alternate history, but not completely far fetched.

Enjoyed the first episode. Would watch the rest.

I never read the book, but the first episode seems to imply that the alternate history of the Nazis getting the H bomb(no mention of the A bomb) wasn't supposed to have happened. That someone messed with history.

If you've read the book, and that's true, please DON'T tell me without a spoiler alert. . . :-)

The book is quite different to the first TV episode in style – but the setting is very much the same. It's well worth reading and I won't mention the end.
