I don't mind seeing ads as long as they are not too intrusive. But honestly does there have to be an ad for the treatment of "Vampire Fungus"? Something about the pictures just makes me nauseous. This is the sort of ad you would find on bottles of "Old Doctor Cureall's Elixir" that were sold in the late 19th to early 20th century. Where's the FDA when you need them?

Give me enough information, and I can block it. I did a quick look through recent banners, and didn't see such a banner.

Where the heck are people seeing adds like this? All I have are banners for gaming stuff (looking at a banner for War Tree). Don't see or recall seeing anything that was not gaming related. I think someone might have some adware piggy-backing on their computer?

No different than any other third-party ad distributor. In order to be competitive, most don't really screen incoming advertisers. It is easier/cheaper to take money, wait for complaints, then kick them out with no refund.
