Hello
As title suggest..
i have again the right mod/élan to revamp my line of minis i produced many years ago…i designed already some nwe subjects..i refind my old talented and trained by me sculptor…the only minimal issue to fix (except great funds) is that i'm not aware of the last know how about sculpting material…we used to do masters out of everything but the stuff used was the old milliput…i'm aware it should be something new, more easy to use …easy to apply to various material (dollies) in metal/plastic/plasticard..able to resist at low temperature mould makings….and sufficiently easy, for me and not only for the professional sculptor, to have a try at converting some easy things (saddles, faces ecc…)….so please..what available on the market (possibly in Europe/UK) ?
thanks

Nowt wrong with Milliput.

Miliput is quite sticky and can be hard to work. Its very useful for making straight-edged items, but that usually involves filing and drilling it once it has hardened. Wornig with it while it is still un-hardened can be messy.
For nearly everything else I use Pro-create ("grey-stuff"), which is similar to green-stuff, but a bit easier to work (though some people find green-stuff easier). It should be relatively widely available.

lots of puttys available… I would even consider making your rough bulked dolly work in cheaper milliput and then using grey or green stuff (or any one of the other specialist putties) over the top after the base form has hardened.

thanks …very useful comments…i'm really interested in reading all that i could from those generous experts here in the forum.
Maddax ..good idea to save a little on more specialised stuff..in fact, expect horses and future vehicles/guns (but i'll not do or have do pre WW1 minis) for almost all human typs dolly will be obtained out of already existing subjects/poses that were casted in metal and then produced years ago..
thanks again..very interesting in reading eberything..in the meanwhile already contacted grey stuff and ordered, trough ebay, green stuff
