1. Can Field Batteries in All Quiet on the Martian Front fire indirectly? All I can find is that they can shoot what they see. That is like a civil war era direct fire artillery battery. 2. Is a Heavy Artillery Battery able to fire indirectly other than before the start of the first turn of the game when they get a free shot at the Martian assembly area. I would happily (not for the Martians) implement a house rule that allows the British to fire artillery indirectly if a radio equipped vehicle can spot a target out of sight of the batteries. US Batteries might require some flag waggling to get the message back, with perhaps a one turn delay. Comments? |

Humans don't have indirect fire ability. The bombardment rule found with the heavy field batteries approximates this ability with the initial bombardment as the game begins. The artillery was striking the Martains as they approached. The Martian Grenadier paired with the targeter scout can indirect fire. I hope that helps |
