Arun and I are working on this massive weapon system

It will be the biggest land war machine in the HQC Universe (at least for now). The concept is based a bit on the NASA Crawler Transporter. I doubt this will be economical as a 3D printed model, but at some point I absolutely intend on making one to put on the game table!

Could I suggest losing the raised hatches on the turrets?

Inappropriate for the period?

The turret hatches or the concept as a whole?

I like it.

In the hive queen and country universe the U S army attempts to distance itself from all things nautical.

That being said what would the army call these machines in not landships? Would they be named after battles or generals?

What color schemes would be applied to them?

Sorry, I was just trying to figure out GM's objections.

Doug,
No problem. I thought that some escape hatch on the turret would be a good idea though, since so many of the crew will be fighting the machine from within the turrets. I had wondered if sighting hoods would be a better idea instead of the turret hatches. I had also thought about hatches on the back or sides of the turrets. I dropped that idea because I felt that the vertical surfaces of the turrets were too likely to take hits and the hatches would be weak points in the protection system. There are some hatches on the hull sides but those don't lead directly to the magazines!
