Another unit of Soviet defenders is added to my Stalingrad roster, it's the 1st Battalion of the 650th Rifle Regiment, plus some supporting units. Take a look here:

Thanks for looking!

Those look awesome. I really like the cohesiveness of the whole picture. Those are PSC right?

Abwehrschlacht14 Jan 2015 8:04 a.m. PST

Thank you, there's more pictures on the blog. Yes, the majority are PSC, with the ones in greatcoats and the prone LMGs from Peter Pig.

How much do you like the PSC figures? Any problems with breakage? They sure look just the stuff next to the Peter Pig figures. Tempts me to look into getting some Soviets from PSC.
And excellent work on the guys, as usual.
Thanks for sharing…

Thanks Rrobby, I am glad these are of continued interest… I thought people would be getting bored of them by now! I nearly am! ha ha!

As for the figures, I can't fault them. I like their poses, they are realistic in proportions and fit in well with other manufacturers figures. The only problem I have had with breakages, has been the ends of two rifles snapping off when I was heavily dry brushing the bases. If you were to be more delicate than me, there shouldn't be a problem. Less than twenty pounds for nearly 150 figures is a great bargain, and they have been incredibly useful for this project. I still have loads left over as well.

The GRAD never looked so good, you will be able to fight it on a one to one ratio! Its a cracking project you've got on the go and its certainly a project to be proud of. It deserves to be highlighted so it gets the recognition it so rightly deserves.

Thanks Bracken, it feels like I am painting it at a one to one ratio, with the amount of figures I am getting through! There are still more Russians to finish, it's seemingly never-ending!

They look excellent.

Mind if I ask where you got those buildings?

Abwehrschlacht15 Jan 2015 2:33 p.m. PST

Cheers ScottS, the building on the left came from Commission Figurines and there are more pictures of it and a four part tutorial on how I painted it etc, on my blog post here (parts one to three are linked in this post):

The building on the right is a combination of two Kerr and King buildings, more details on that one here:
