After debating for a year I decided to go from 1/1200 to 1/600 for my coastal games. The cost is significantly greater but the ships do look nice. Pictures here platoonforward.blogspot.com Cheers Joe |

Nice work Joe; I use 1/600 coastal craft too. Enjoy; Joe |

Long ago I looked at 1/600 vs 1/1200 and decided to stay with the smaller models. In part this was due to the large 1/1200 collection I already had but it also had to do with the 1/600s I saw in the stores. They seemed fiddly to build and appeared a bit too delicate for my tastes. The ultimate decision was that I love smaller scales. The smaller the better. Regardless of my opinion I agree that they do look nice. Enjoy. Al |

Joe, I am happy I made the change. I have never used anything bigger than a CL and then only a handfull of times. I will keep my DD/CLs in 1/1200 for destroyer battles. They are more fiddly to build! Cheers Joe |

I reread my post. First apologies; it was addressed to both Joe and Allen. Second I was agreeing with Allen that the 1/600 ships are more fiddly to build. Never post before 8AM! Joe |

I started in 1/600, then expanded to 1/1200 for bigger battles when the Figurehead range was launched. I'm happy with both :) |

Joe, You still have time to plan a game to run at Williamsburg Muster next month! I'm sure many of the gang from the Hangar would be glad to join in, and it's a great way to introduce yourself to everyone! You can register your game at: wbconventions.org Paul |

Now you can throw in your old Airfix battleships! |

1:600 just looks right for Coastal Forces, 1:1200 for larger ship actions. |

Agree with all the comments above. Paul, I just registered the game for Saturday. Thanks for the invite. Joe |

I have decided to do 1/6000 ships for my WW2 fleets. I am worried about the ease of 1dentifying 1/6000 ships on a table. How are they labeled so you can identify different ships of the same class? Danny Weitz La Quinta California |
