Hello, My name is Spinny the spinosaurus!

Yep … an entire spinosaurus exhibit done with a 3D printer. I told my wife I need two and a bigger game room.

It was done in pieces, but I believe each bone was its own print. So, yeah, the 6' spine and 4-5' long jaw are pretty big pieces. That's commensurate with industrial ones I've used at work. Of course, if they sent the model to any given museum, they could print it out at any scale they wanted.

The sky is the limit. I've read that someday they will bring a huge printer to a house lot site and print an entire house – furniture and all. Maybe even on the moon or the planets.

I think space station stuff will be done by nanobot swarms rather than 3D printers, but the concept is the same. On Earth in population centers, I would worry about weaponizing industrial nanobot swarms.
