That would be awesome. I feel as if I've seen some Cadian(?) heads that might do if you just want her peering out the driver's hatch. If you want her fixing the tank, maybe you could do something with Rosie, the Chronotechnician?: link She comes in plastic too, which might facilitate conversion: link |

Unusual for the Soviets to give out medals to personal that were KIA. Mostly only gave a medal if you were alive. Dead people don't need medals. Very Soviet style of thought. She must have been very well known to the Russian people as well as very brave to get the award. |

Thanks for the picture. It has a lot more character than the Battlefront model picture. Oddly, the Battlefront patriotic slogan decal pack is 25% "Fighting Girlfriend". Hey, all them Russki slogans look alike! Now I might actually model her in 15mm to get her Super Powers! |

It's hard to tell from the picture, but it looks like the figure on the far left is woman with strands of hair escaping her helmet: link |

She sold all her possessions to donate a tank? Soviet tanks must have been really cheap, or she was not much of a Communist to have that many possessions to afford a whole tank. Mike Bunkermeister Creek Bunker Talk blog |

There was a beekeeper who bought one Yak fighter, and then another when the resource of the engine was off. First he had donated 100000 Rbl and it was enough for the first Yak-1B. Tank brigade, built on Bolshoi Theatre donation is well known, but even provincial theatres were donating – like these 3 tanks from Sverdlovsk musical theatre.
Pre-war T-34' cost was 250000 Rbl, and it was considered high. During mass production of war years the costs were down to 150000Rbl. However you can'r compare these roubles to current roubles – there were several reforms/denominations etc. |

She may have donated the lion's share and fund raised the rest through her own efforts locally. Either way, it's an impressive story |
