Hi before buying the Lion Rampant rules I'd like to know if there are any mention of the debuts of artillery in the book? Cheers Pascal |

No. Though the forums on Boardgame Geek may cover it. There's all sorts of addendum rules and force lists there. Though LR has dark age and later medieval lists, it really only covers the ally medieval period. Not that it can't be (and hasn't been) expanded well beyond that. |

from the first couple of read throughs and one test game, nothing in the rules for artillery or arquebus, think rules for black powder is something in the pipeline. not sure regards artillery, can see those being used more in a siege scenario. I'd still say the rules are worth buying. One or two bits that don't make sense or seem a tad odd, but overall they seem a nice set of rules. |

No, there are no artillery rules. Additional rules for handguns are a download from BGG. The ECW variant has artillery rules which might be cribbable. TBH, the scale is such that guns might make objectives, but not really weapons. |

Nothing on pre-gunpowder artillery either? |

Realistically, would they ever get more than one shot within the timescale of a game? I'd see them more as a scenario-speciofic rule rather than a general troop type. And as I'm orgsnising a War of the Roses series of games, at least one of them will have artillery. But perhaps more as an objective than as an actual combat unit. |

But perhaps more as an objective… There is a mention in the book on using an artillery piece as a scenario objective the Defender must hold. Something along the lines of "…now you have an excuse the purchase that trebuchet you couldn't justify the expense…". |

Why does BoardGameGeek have this info on their site, but we don't have a way to do it on TMP? I'd love to be able to post files, addendum, AARs etc. here and not have to rely on a site that isn't really set up for miniature games. Steve |

Steve It is the site preferred site used by Dan Mersey, the rule's author. Anyone could set up a group to direct this, but I presume Dan is happy with boardgamegeek – he used it for "Dux Bellorum" as well. |

Update on that. There is now an Official forum for Dux and Rampant. Dan Mersey is on this forum and is responsible for its creation… so you might want to check this out. Here is the link to the Forum: Dux Rampant Forum |
