I am talking with a company near there about a gig. What's the game scene like?

Have to concur. Seems like there is a group meeting almost every week with two or three active venues. Nashville is also an all around great city. Good luck with your interview.

Nashville resident here. Would enjoy getting together for some space games we have in common based on your posts.

Excellent! I play everything from the Stone Age to the Far Future, so that is super! Thanks guys!

Track & Hull on Tuesday nights at "The Game Keep". General gaming one Saturday a month at a local business park… Good sized DBA community. Excellent WW2 (mainly Bolt Action, though Rapid Fire! and "FOW" are also played) community. 40K/GW crowd is more divided but strong in several stores.

Our once a year convention Nashcon (Memorial Day Weekend) is about 350 folks… so a decent size.

Nashville has a strong community.

If you choose to live to the south of Nashville, we have two groups in the Columbia area, but Nashville is just an hour away. Good luck for your interview.

Hope you land the job! I'd pop up there on occasion for some non-mainstream games.

Great to have you headed our way!

These days the game store scene is largely on the northeast side of town, but there's a GW store in Franklin (where I live), and Phillips Toy Mart in southwest Nashville (Belle Meade) carries GW, 1/72 plastics and lots of supplies, though it has no gaming space.

Give me a shout when you come to town. (My member name is my email address via AOL.)

Outstanding! The company is in Franklin, just Northeast of Nashville. Will let you know what happens!

Well, Franklin, TN is south of Nashville, but okay!grin
(Franklin, KY is north of Nashville. Might you have the two confused?)

It was a good trip! The Nashville area is very nice and the Gig would be very interesting. I should know some time next week.

A lot of wargamers in that area. There were a lot of them at the Recent Siege convention held in Augusta.

It is the home to HMGS-Midsouth and sponsor their own show in May.
