Like the concept. So do you just bring whatever game and everyone plays what you brought or do you vote on which game? Do you send copies of the rules ahead of time? Been trying to get something like that going with our club but they are very focused on miniatures. |

Great idea. LOVED the header on your site using the old comic book add for the Revolutionary soldiers. Brought back great memories! |

We are a predominately miniature gaming club. We do however like an occasional board game if the theme is good. All of these games use a quasi mini of some sort and with Trade Winds we are in discussion on miniaturizing it with out ship collection. If you visit the blog and poke around on some other posts you will see board games that have become a miniatures game. Discussion for our games is open with three main contributors of miniatures and gaming tables. We do suffer from ooh shiny. I did send out the links to the rules and game pictures on that other hobby site BGG before our meeting night. One of the fellows arrived with a pretty good grasp of the Trade Wind rules and that was our first time playing it. With your own gaming group just suggest a theme board game night and see what is in your collections. You could also do this game night entirely with miniatures games that have the victory conditions of who gets the most from the depot wins. I could see the western gunfight theme being a sure match. Thanks for looking in. |
