Just finished up painting the 17 Vangaurd Troopers from the "Sedition Wars Battle for Alabaster" game. They're a major pain in the tuchus to cleanup and assemble. On the other hand they're also a real bargain for very nice sculpts that really brought out the best in my base-detail-dip painting process. Pics and process here: link

They look nice and agree they took well to the dip method |

Thanks! The look is a bit different in pattern, but the same colors as my Van Saar minis. All of these figs at least sometimes serve as part of the "Maersk-Tesla Corporation" in our club's homebrew sci-fi setting. (links to it in the post) |

Good work. Have you tried the rules? I find it unbalanced and unplayable, but maybe that's just me. |

Thanks, Xin, Beowulf, I haven't tried the rules as I haven't got them. I split the game with a buddy. I took the Vangaurd and all the bases, he took everything else. Maybe someday we'll try it, but I doubt it. I got the feeling that the part of the game components he was most interested in was the map sections for other games. |
