"I've just seen the trailer for the forthcoming Dutch movie Admiral about the 17th century Dutch Admiral Michiel de Ruyter. The trailer is most impressive, and I hope this movie will be shown in my country in due course. The blurb: "When the young republic of the Netherlands is attacked by England, France and Germany and the country itself is on the brink of civil war, only one man can lead the county's strongest weapon, the Dutch fleet: Michiel de Ruyter." De Ruyter (1607-1676) was a Dutch admiral, most famous for his role in the Anglo-Dutch Wars of the 17th century. I can't help but think that the centre picture looks like a still from a video game. |

But it's from the movie. Have you seen the trailer? Imho is a great contribution for the "Age of Sail" fans. Amicalement Armand |

The top poster looks like a book cover for a bodice ripper paper back novel. |

The North American rights were purchased last week according to the film's official website, but no further details have been posted. Looks like we'll get to see it after all: admiralthemovie.com Scroll about halfway down the newsfeed to see the International Trailer, with English subtitles. I would prefer that the whole movie be down that way, rather than a clumsy overdub. |
