I'm very happy to show you the newest prototypes of 15/20mm modular base corridors (but they may be used also as claustrophobic, narrow corridors in 28mm – perfect for skirmishes!)

More details on Assault Publishing facebook page :)

Those look very useful

Yap, they are useful. The concept and most of the ideas came from me – as wargamer and rules author/publisher and from technical side the bases are made by proffesional architect.

I'm going to release short free expansion for PMC 2640 ("Close encounters"), which adapts the rules to combat in such conditions. As the game is highly infantry-unit focused it is rather easy. (I'm Aliens fan anyway)!

Yay for expansions!

Expansions?
Do you mean such expansions? :)

The whole system wiil launch with ~15 modules at the launch. 100% modular (you can make 2-level base on the whole table and everything fits perfectly!) and new are planned.
At the order you will be able to choose one of 3 wall styles, 3 suport styles and 7 styles of blast doors. Of course for every module.

These look even better.

I've just received new photos of incoming modular 15/20mm SF base system.

This time I would like to preview 3 incoming layouts: mid-tech (inspired by Aliens :)), hi-tech and neo-gothic styles which will be released as the first ones.

Marcin

Those are very nice. Any idea on when available and a cost yet?

Marcin from Assault Publishing06 Feb 2015 2:59 p.m. PST

It should hit the market this month with a little luck.

The final calculations are still in progress, but I plan to make it in reasonable price (e.g. I suppose that final cost of 6" long corridor will be from 6 to 9 EUR, depending on style). I would like to make the possibility of setting small but cool, playable base within 80-100 EUR.

So by your pricing I could build ( with more rooms and such) a playable constricted tabletop for around $200 USD-300? For that much material I would definitely be very interested….

Marcin from Assault Publishing25 Feb 2015 1:30 p.m. PST

It depends what do you mean "playable" :)
The most expensive room will cost 25 EUR, but most of the corridors will from 6 to 15 EUR, depending on shape and style (in most cases neo-gothic is the most expensive and hi-tech the cheapest). Blast doors will cost 2EUR per piece.

But to summarize: I think your budget should be enought to build really nice piece of terrain :)

I could not cross-post… The system is ready:

Any thoughts for inclusion of allowing transparent plastic panels to represent 'force-fields' or 'invisible' magnetic bay doors (open to space airlocks) ?

Marcin from Assault Publishing09 Mar 2015 2:18 a.m. PST

Yes, we are experimenting with combined materials, mainly transparent plexiglass. Also as "revalorisation kits". As it is experiment the intruduction time is unfortuantely unknown.
