Hi everyone, I'm looking to find some multilevel or general city-looking buildings in 3mm for Fulda Gap and Bosnia-Herzegovina games. They'll be used with PicoArmor/0ddzial Osmy moderns. Thanks! |

Germy has some downloadable pdfs here of 2/3mm paper terrain, but it is pretty shiny/sci-fi-y. You could also scale down 6mm paper terrain, I've done that with his apartment block on the same page. germy.co.uk/paper2mm.html If you're doing a high-level game, blocks of wood from a craftstore painted gray (windows optional) on a base (like a CD) would be a faster/easier option. |

I think the house and hotel game pieces in a Monopoly boardgame would work with 1/600 too. |

Thaddeus Blanchette did a pretty thorough overview of what buildings are available for 3mm at the Lead Doesn't Bleed blog awhile back: link One thing he didn't mention were the new and excellent Gamecraft buildings, which are right up your alley in terms of what you are looking for. Da Bish does a take on them here: link My personal opinion would be go Gamecraft for ultramodern and Brigade for WWII and earlier, if you can afford them. Otherwise, use Monopoly buildings: classic for the suburbs and housing projects, Monopoly City for downtown. Note that as Blanchette points out, you can really mix 'n match scales here without things looking too out of scale, so don't sweat it if your stuff is not the right scale or different scales. |

Note that you can get cheap Monopoly stuff from Pico Armor, or buy by the bundle on E-bay. |

Thanks for the input everyone! Being a very frequent shopper on Pico Armor, I had thought about the monopoly buildings..however, I'm one of those picky, terrain-loving guys. :) Dave, those Gamecraft buildings are precisely what I was looking for! Thank you! Both are great blogs you referenced, too! |

I am late to the party but must mention the Monsterpocalypse buildings. A bit oversized but can be modified and work very well. |

I bought some of the Brigade buildings through Pico – I find them (& what few Gamecraft buildings I have) to be too small for my liking - Spartan games has some buildings for their Dystopian Wars line that are nice – pricey but nice Also there are some buildings in the 1/700 scale that are nice made by Pit Road and Skywave – again pricey but nice – search E-bay as they are mostly out of print I find there are many different styles of Monopoly game buildings available on e-bay (not just the traditional house & hotel with round chimney) I like many of them and they are generally fairly inexpensive - I got some decal sheets and made window and door decals for my monopoly buildings – they came out quite nice The Monsterpocalypse buildings work well as well for larger uban buildings Best of luck |

I quite like using Brigade minis for my 3mm gaming needs. Even though they are scaled at 2mm, I like the fact that they are smaller since this gives a better visual representation on the table. Unless you play 3mm in a 1:1 scale, everything is representative anyways. For modern city blocks, I like Brigade's terraced houses and industrial buildings. When sprayed gray, they can be used a modern (Soviet) tenements or apartments. Add some color and they become Western style apartments. Prices are great for Qty and detail as well. |
