I'm not going to quibble about the weapon. What's the use. The figure is a nice sculpt with believable proportions and the paint nob is a good one. |

Renaissance dopplesoldiers carried a similar sword, which you could use two-handed, which always seemed like a bad idea to me That being said, I agree a nice sculpt and good painting |

Anyone know who makes the figure? |

Nice Figure(in both meanings of the word:) I don't suppose there is any record of fur bikini wearing barbarians? Racquel Welch is proof of fur bikini wearing cavewomen;^)) |

Even more than the oversized sword (a GW-initiated trend nowadays spoiling so many otherwise good fantasy & SF minis) my problem is with the bra Why ? Because the taboo on female breast (just like the one on female hair) is an odd peculiarity of the 3 Abrahamanic religions. Local period art, observations of early explorers and ethnographs… show that, everywhere in the world before Christianity or Islam became locally dominant, as soon as the weather was mild enough women went bare-breasted just like men. Since this 'barbarian' is unlikely to be Christian, Jew or Muslim the bra is as inappropriate as, say, a hijab would be. Similarly, weather permitting, cave girls did not wear a fur bikini but a fur loincloth or micro-skirt : Raquel Welsh's bra is as inaccurate and ridiculous as her mascara and perm (for a 'realistic' prehistoric movie watch "Quest for Fire ").
Photo blocked by adult filter: "picture" Of course manufacturers have to take into account the prudishness of the major markets (USA for instance: when Delacroix' painting 'La Liberté guidant le peuple' did a world tour, the reproduction painted on the aircraft had to be "censored" before the plane was allowed to land in some American airports and in islamic countries).
Photo blocked by adult filter: "picture" PS: the g-string looks far too 'modern' – a common defect found also in some 'imaginative' 18th C. minis, e.g. among those for Carnevale:

Speaking of prudishness, even the bikini was blocked by an adult filter until one signed in. The answer to the hysterical "Won't somebody think of the children?!?" has been given: Bill will. |

And exactly how do YOU or anyone for that matter, know what cave-girls wore Jean Louis? |

Otto, during the Ice Age, and later in high latitudes or altitude they were certainly entirely covered in fur, ± like Inuits. In warm climate during summer and in hot climate, according to the practice of recent or contemporary hunters-gathers, they probably wore only a bit of skin (with fur or cured) no larger than a modern g-string. A survey of all cultures show that he 'minimum' required by human prudishness requires no more – often only a penis shaft for men. Plus, of course, mud covering the entire body as a protection against biting insects and other skin parasites. |

Well, at least it's not a chainmail bikini, so it's not totally clichè… |
