I know this will seem redundant as many will say if the games developers believe an upgrade is required then it is waranted. So my question is, is it worth upgrading to version 2. Cheers Jon |

A version 2 would normally only be needed if there was significant room for improvement. So what do you think is wrong with version 1? |

I believe he agrees with you Major. A new edition is scheduled for July. |

Still waiting for them to update two IABSM army books to be compatible with version 3. I wish they would do that first. |

There is no new edition of Bag the Hun scheduled at all. V2 was published back in 2008 and is much expanded and improved on v1. I have no idea where the idea of a reprint came from. Rich |

I have version one and was wondering wither it was worth getting the second version. I knew it was a while ago didn't realise it was 2008 though. I was really just looking to see if it was worth the investment as I enjoy version one. Cheers Jon |

Jon I do apologise, it was 2010! If you enjoy the original then you'll enjoy v2. The rules are not drastically changed, Nick has just provided a bit more polished and with some additional stuff which I really like, such as actions against surface/ground targets which I think add a lot of additional fun to the game. Additionally, the rules are much better presented and have many more plane stats in there for different nations and some interesting stuff on formations and tactics. The bottom line is, if you really enjoy v1 then you'll probably get an additional 10% fun with v2. So it isn't essential, but I'd sat it is worth it. What I'd also say is that we have limited hard copy stocks left, so if you'd like a hard copy then now is a good time to buy. Rich |
