The Battle of Five Armies simulates the huge fight at the end of the Hobbit. Will the shadow or free peoples win this epic struggle?

Ordered mine a few days ago (my FLGS didn't have it). Yours isn't the only review to mention the fiddliness of the damage counters, still it should be fun and have replay value!

Yeah the damage counters are not a reason not to get the game. I might try replacing them with something else (cheap poker chips??).

Enjoy!

What scale are the minis? I can't tell from boardgamegeek pictures.

SBminisguy05 Jan 2015 2:48 p.m. PST

They are the same scale as the War of the Rings game, roughly 1/72nd scale for the basic unit types, with monster-sized units more abstract in scale.

Jason C,
You've got a good website, fairly lengthy writeups and lots of profit generating ads. How about some non-stock pictures so we can actually see what you're writing about?

@ordinarybass I have always wondered if people wanted more pictures or less. I appreciate the feedback and will def consider adding more photos of the actual games.
