I am the happy owner of the two different 1/56th Corgi's T34, found for cheap on E-bay years ago. I would like to add a third companion tank in order to transport my newly painted and ready to play motorised 3 squads strong riflemen platoon, and I am wondering which resin model (Warlkord's, AGN's, JTFM's … or ??) would match the best the dimension of the 1/50th Corgis. I would not like a too big difference in size of course. Has anyone any experience and advice on that matter please? Thanks for sharing. |

I doubt anything will be similar size to the corgi ones, the warlord ones are 1/56th as the corgi ones are 1/50th. maybe solido? not sure if they do one. |

Tirailleur, At 1:50 scale you will need to use Bandai or Tamiya 1:48 scale kits to stay in scope – the difference between 1:50 and 1:56 on the same tank is noticeable. A simple rule to follow with scale differences is keep like with like and then things look good on the table. |

Solido did make them, I have one I got on Ebay a few years ago. Its the same size as the winter camo Corgi T-34 I have. |

1st Corp maybe? Their vehicles are listed as 1/48. |

Solido and Corgi are mixing well, I use them for at least twenty years together. But as well I am informed Solido is out of production therefore you have to try with Ebay or anything similiarly. |

I use the PMD 1:50th scale and the Corgi together for years (scored a few of the Corgi just this past year on Ebay), second Forager's suggestion: link |

Don't mix 1/56 with your 1/50 Corgi T-34's. The size difference is too great. It's up to you of course, but you're much better off with 1/48 or 1/50. Another option is to sell the 1/50 Corgi's and do 1/56 exclusively. |

I believe that Hobby Boss also makes 1/48th scale T34's. I have Tamiya and Corgi T34's waiting for some paint and a mate mixed Tamiya and Hobby Boss T34's with no problem. |

Thanks to all folks for your sharings. Hobby Boss T-34 looks great, and there is a dealer not so far from my place in Paris, but I am not that fan of plastic kits, too much time consuming IMO, and my time spent on the hobby is never long enough. Nevertheless, plastic kits are mostly splendid, I agree, but also fragile! I have a lovely PzII from Frog which mixes very well with the Solido Pz IV D and the Hobby Master Sdkzf 222. Great supports for Barbarossa! PMD looks a better alternative to me. My only regret; apparently the hatches do not open, so there is no way – beside of long time consuming scratch work – to fit a tank commander onto it, too bad! Also they are based in the US (sorry!), country of friends I love, but postage rates are too often prohibitive … 1st Corps is probably the best try to attempt for me: based just behind the Channel and with openable hatches, this gonna be my choice. "Fanatik", I understand your point of wiew but those cast models on sale are really too much desirable, and once you've got one … you know! But I second you, 1/56th looks definitly better with 28mm and I also collected 1/56th models, both russian and german. I mostly use each scale together, though the mix of some 1/50th with some 1/56th on the tabletop is sometime possible, as long, at least, as the models are of different types. But don't try to mix the Hobby Master Konigs Tiger with anything under 1/50th, the result would be awfull, Lobsterback is very right on that issue. Thanks to all again for your advises, and, by the way, "Happy new year!" |

Just received my 1st Corps T34 and SU122 yesterday. They exactly match the Cogis size. Nice casting, no bubble, and very good finish on all the different parts. Also, great service from Simon of 1st Corps! |
