Would Perry Foot Knights and Perry mercenaries be appropriate for the English at Flodden? They look a lot like the English from the Osprey book. Would the war of the roses infantry be less so? |

Would Perry mercenaries be appropriate for the English at Flodden? Would the war of the roses infantry be less so? Perry Mercenaries and WotR infantry have the same basic bodies and heads, it is just the weapons that are different. The extra heads and bodies on the provided command sprues are different, though. Perrys have also released a supplementary pack of metal heads (code EA7) that are intended to be used with the plastic figures for years 1490-1520:

Hi Jeeves Yep it's definitely a possibility, I've done the Army for the French campaign of 1513 which you can see in the above magazine and also on my blog; link If you're confident with green stuff you could add some renaissance features such as plumes, skirts and coats to some of the figures but otherwise you can reasonably convincingly do it with your painting and banners.
