I played a fun No Stars in Sight game, using Warhammer 40k miniatures. Today's fight was a sort of "Lone Survivor" in the world of 40k skulls and swords---6 Cadian Kasrkin are waiting for extraction, with Tau and Kroot on their heels. We made minimal modification to the rules, using the game's own special rules and stats to recreate 40k troops. Some pics and brief description here---thorough AAR and more pics at my blog, link Thanks for looking!
The game played very well, with plenty of action as the Tau and Kroot struggled to advance against well positioned Kasrkin. For more "realistic" 40k opponents (Imperial Guard, Tau), No Stars in Sight needs little modification for 40k. For more quirky 40k armies, more tweaking is needed, but there's already a lot of special rules, weapons, and alien traits in the rules which can be used. |
