My daughter and I have been gaming off and on with Schleich sized vinyl figures. Christmas brought our armies new recruits.

Enjoy it. Soon she will be a teenager.

That´s great! I too game with my daughter, and we have a blast. She is 8, so I hope I have a few more years before boys stop being icky.

Oh yes one of my favourite memories is of my then 14 year old daughter saying to me "I'm not going out with you dressed like that". I laughed till I nearly cried. I was wearing shorts, baggy shorts, boots and a T shirt. Too outre for the young rebel though.

I get that every day about my hair- or the little I have left, which likes to stand on end.

Yeah they are very conservative in their own way.

After the divorce my entire house became "Man Cave Deluxe". When my daughter was due to visit from Houston I would go berserk and deal with the more obvious excesses. One time I had to work and failed to deal with the disaster area. On the way down from the airport I told her that things were more than a little outré. She cleaned house for the next two days and all she ever says about it is "Dad, there were bullets on the stove."

Yep, soon she'll be in that annoying stage. She's into comics, science fiction and fantasy, so hopefully we'll still be able connect on geeky things.

"Soon she will be a teenager."

That didn't seem to stop either of my children from playing and enjoying games.
