I just finished one of these hover cars. It and a few other have been sitting on my backburner Que for months slowly getting painted when paint was left over in the airbrush. A nice simple angular design made painting quite easy. For more views see the blog. thirdfatecreations.blogspot.com/2015/01/going-for-speed.html

Wowww, that is really fantastic! How did you do the light effects and the interior effect? Could you give some hints please….eh or a tutorial perhaps please 😃 |

Lighting is, as always, fluorescent paints and white paint on appropriately dark backgrounds white first then fluorescents so the light can go through the fluroescent, bounce off the white, and then come back through. Works very nicely under blue or UV or sunlight. Ahh high energy photons are great and CCD's dont pick them up well at all so things just seem to glow. the "interior" is just very fine detailed custom stencils I had cut. thought about sellign them but few people could use them without destroying them as they are very delicate. |

Hi Atropos, Thanks, I am going to experiment a bit with white and fluorescent paint. As for the interior, I thought you had painted it. And that made me feel very humble and a bit depressed 😃. And now that I know you used stencils…, well actually that does not make me feel any better😃. Well just kidding. The stencils match your painting style very well, looks really fantastic. |
