I bought these figures way back around 1979 or 1980, and I do not recall what they were listed as. The figure looks feudal or dark ages and is riding a shaggy pony or horse. The base of the figure is marked with the Hinchliffe logo, and the item number "FA 50". The plain white boxes that these figure are in are also marked with the same item number. I navigated to the current Hinchliffe listings, but cannot find a "FA 50" figure. Any and all help identifying the figure is appreciated. Mike link link link link |

Possibly, but I did not see any listing for Hinchliffe fantasy figures Mike |

Ditto to Batesmotel34. I get "you do not have permission to view this album" |

I get asked for a Google login, the which I do not have. Could it be F for Foremost? These were a semi-separate range sold by Hinchliffe; the current figure list at hinchliffe.co.uk lists Foremost horses, with an FH code, but not any figures. |

The links seems to have ceased working at google images. I will create some new ones |

Khazarmac! Thank you for the awesome find. That site looks to be very useful. I recognize other figures there that I had at one time: FA2, FA3, and FA33 as well. My early attempts at building a dwarf army back in the day. Mike |

Mike, whilst searching I found this too; link loads of old catalogues to download. |

That Nostalgia site is useful. It also gives me only the second reference to the fact that Garrison did a 25mm Egyptian chariot – S18 – which I've only seen mentioned once in an old magazine, but never in a catalogue nor have I ever seen the figures! |

By the way, those links all still require a google login. |

I went in and changed the pictures for open public viewing. Does google still require a sign in? If so, I'll use photobucket or something else like that in the future. I appreciate all of the help as I am getting up to speed. Thank you for identifying the figures as well as pointing out the great resources. The 28 Dwarves on ponies sold very quickly on the Buy it Now option. |

Yep, the lostminiswiki is a superuseful site for identifying old ranges. For old catalogues, also try: dndlead.com or solegends.com, although the later focuses mostly on citadel. |

I had, and maybe somewhere still have, many of these figures, which my friends and I used for a game called 'Sorcererers cave' and its follow up 'Mystic Wood', anyone remember these? I got to visit Frank Hichliffe's factory at Meltham, near Huddersfield, as a teenager, and remember what a nice lot they were. I loved Hinchliffe figures back then. Great memories guys, thanks! |

Played Sorcerer's Cave when Phil Barker brought the prerelease version to a Convention once. Naturally, he got to have the Hero who he designated Conan! Ian Beck and I came across a bear, tried to befiend it, failed and continued into the cave. We were blocked by a cave in, went back to where the bear was. This had now been befriended by Phil who spent a while trying to stop us from attacking them. OK, we knew we couldn't win… but we couldn't get out anyway so… to cut a short story short we died. |

Great game – played it lots. And still have all those early fantasy figures. Ah, Games Workshop in Dalling Road – happy memories |
