I have posted some images of my new 1:350 scale model of the Elizabethan race-built galleon "Revenge". The model is by Zvezda and the kit was built, painted and rigged for me by Julián Fenández de Sevilla of ModelJShip.

Very nice work. Is it the Zvezda kit?

Nice.

You've got a Tango kind of thing going perhaps?

Yes it is the Zvezda model. I hope to get Julián to take on São Martinho (1580) by the same company at some point.

Yes this refers to the same model. I had the idea for a full conversion of the model after reading "Elizabeth's Sea Dogs" by Hugh Bicheno. Discovering Matthew Baker's original drawings for Revenge and Zvezda's models/game made it possible.

Julián Fenández de Sevilla of ModelJShip had converted some Langton 1:1000 Napoleonic ships for me and I was so impressed I brought my idea for a very accurate conversion of Revenge to him and he kindly took on the commission. He is a great professional and master modeler. I claim no credit for the execution!

There aren't many useful model available for building a fleet but Airfix has a 1/400 scale model of the Mary Rose that can be used as an old ship of the period like a Nao or Carrack.

Outstanding! This is very nice little kit and he did an outstanding job. I really really really wish they had gone to 1/300 instead of 1/350 though.

Stunning model. Julian posted some WIP photos in another forum. Someday I'll scratch together the $$$$ for one of his models.

You won't be sorry. His models are even more amazing up-close.
